Architecture

Taking Place is a group of women artists and architects. The group began in 2000 out of a shared interest in questions of gender and spatial practice. Through a series of private workshops and public events they have developed a collaborative way of working where projects are created out of differences between individuals, disciplines, participants, audiences and ourselves. They are currently developing more permanent and arts-based aspects of their work, with longer-term creative impact on people’s engagement with spaces of public buildings.
