| Helene Rudlin |
| Helene, a French national, is a consultant with international experience. She originally worked for the BBC North West for several years before becoming a freelance consultant specialising in international urban regeneration networks. She was a member of Quartiers En Crise (Neighbourhood in Crisis), an EEC funded network which included 12 European countries. She organised a major international event for this initiative and participated further through visits to Cork in Ireland and Lyon in France with research on the mining town of Genk in Belgium. Through work with the Urban Regeneration Consultancy she was responsible for managing Anglo-French exchanges for the Waltham Forest Housing Action. She has worked on a range of URBED projects including the Barnsley and Stoke Town Centre Studies and a feasibility study for the Bridewell Artists Studio Association in Liverpool. Helene has initiated a number of public art project including Signs Of Life for the North British Housing Association in Manchester and the management and implementation of a public art strategy for the new park in Hulme, Manchester. This included managing the commissioning of five public artworks to completion over 2 years. She recently gained an RHS Module 2 with the Royal Horticulture Society and completed through the Action for Sustainable Living a Permaculture Design Certificate. She has now moved with Hulme Community Garden Centre as Volunteers and Workshops Coordinator, a non for profit organisation bringing the community together through gardening, www.hulmegardencentre.org.uk but is still collaborating with URBED. |
