| Within URBED Paul acts as an urban designer with interests in Architecture, game play, drawing, representation and film. Paul studied Architecture at both Degree and Masters Level at Sheffield School of Architecture. At Degree Paul achieved First honours followed at M.Arch by a Distinction and represented Sheffield’s School of Architecture at the annual Student RIBA President’s Bronze and Silver Medal Awards in London (2003 and 2008).
Paul has worked on architectural projects in Trans-European locations with a diverse range of ‘communities’ such as Strategies of Transition in Belfast, with Catholic and Protestant residents (Northern Ireland) to Interdependence in Sheffield, Berlin and Warsaw with the Circus Community. (UK, Germany and Poland respectively)
During the Masters of Architecture course Paul was involved in Echo-City; the British Pavilion at the 10th Venice Architectural Biennale (2006). Under the direction of Jeremy Till, Paul helped co-ordinate the production of the exhibition as well as collaborating with the team of artists and graphic designers on various elements of the installation.
Paul has a keen interest in architectural education and occasionally runs workshops in the M.Arch course at Sheffield University. Further more Paul is an active graduate member of the RIBA's Validation Panel.
Paul has contributed design work and essays to a new publication on Architecture and Interdependence by studio six. Most recently Paul has become a working resident of Bankley House Studios; an art cooperative in Levenshulme, South Manchester.
